Osteoporosis and Arthritis are separate and very different diseases or so you have been told. The truth is they are more similar than you know and many of the same behaviors will aggravate both. First what is Osteoporosis and Arthritis? Osteoporosis is a thinning of the skeletal system, a gradual loss of mineral density in the bone. The bone gradually becomes more and more porous. Arthritis is an inflammation of the joints. There are actually over 100 types of arthritis. All have one thing in common, pain. Many of the same behaviors or life choices cause or aggravate both of these conditions. OK enough with the definitions what should we not do?

5 Things NOT To Do

1.) Drink soda, energy drinks, or Gatorade – Each of these are 9,000 to 10,000 times too acidic for the body! Soda will dissolve a nail in 4 days! What do you think it is doing to your bones and joints?

2.) Consume Dairy Products – I know you have heard all your life that milk makes your bones strong. The latest research indicates just the opposite is true. Those countries that have the highest consumption of dairy products also have the highest incidence of arthritis and osteoporosis. The theory is the calcium in dairy is too coarse for the body and will actually leech the softer calcium from your body.

3.) Sit Around – It has been proven that one of the best things you can do for osteoporosis or arthritis is exercise. Weight resistance exercise seems to do the most good in promoting healing and bone density.

4.) Wear Sunglasses – What?? The truth is the body requires sunlight to produce and utilize Vitamin D, and Vitamin D have been shown to be one of the best treatments for Osteoporosis or Arthritis. 98% of the sunlight used by the body passes through the eyes and not the skin. When you wear sunglasses you dramatically reduce the bodies absorption of sunlight.

5.) Use An Electric Heating Pad or Blanket- Anything that uses AC current puts off a magnetic field that is bad for you when in close proximity to your body. If you use an electric heating pad or blanket you are exposing your body to an unnatural energy field that will do you much more harm than good. It will end up aggravating the pain in the long run!

Many times it is what you don’t do as much as what you do to help your conditions. OK Gary what would you do if you were hurting? I would drink alkaline water, and sleep on a magnetic mattress pad. I would also use magnetic support for pain and healing. Sound crazy? 100 years from now they will look back and think how crazy we were not to utilize magnetic therapy.
